About

After 18 years, as a graffiti artist, falko is widely honoured as an integral part of the foundation and development of the graffiti scene in South Africa.

He started in a period in the height South Africa’s political turmoil. A time when `graffiti` was associated with political struggle. With his country’s isolation, it also isolated the graffiti scene from proper information and knowledge about what graffiti art was actually about. This resulted in him being influenced by Spraycan Art and Subway art. These books were the only sources of reference until 1991.

Falko concentrates on all aspects of the graffiti art, i.e., styles, characters, concepts and also using it for social upliftment. The quality of work that his managed to produce, considering the minimal range of colours and quality of sprays, is implausible. The standard of work has been given world recognition.
